Curriculum

In our pre-school classes, we offer full Montessori curriculum. This is a child-centred education program that helps children to develop their innate abilities. The children learn by doing giving them a sense of self-worth. Children learn at their own pace using an individualized approach that inspires creativity, independence and results in holistic learning outcomes.

Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the whole child, providing all round physical, social, intellectual, moral and spiritual development. Our Montessori prepared environment offers the child a cozy, attractive, beautiful, orderly, conducive, safe and secure learning environment where children can freely express themselves, interact to play and learn, and even develop community life. The Montessori materials are didactic, enabling children to learn independently, and providing hands-on learning experience which equips them with life skills they will need over time.

Children also have periods of free choice of activities when they have opportunity to work with materials of their choice as activity freely chosen enhance high level of concentration and helps children to unfold their predetermined patterns. In addition, just one piece of a particular material is deliberately made available on the shelf so children learn to take turns. This helps children to inculcate discipline, patience and self-control thereby enriching their temperament and learning experience. Our curriculum areas includes : Practical life exercises, Sensorial education, Language, Mathematics, Cultural, Science, Arts & Crafts, Christian education, Music/Dance/Fun activities and Physical exercise.

Our primary classes curriculum is a blend of the Nigeria and International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which are further enriched with some aspects of the Montessori curriculum to achieve a robust and an all- encompassing curriculum.
