The basic tendency of the infants at this stage is the absorbing of their environment by the aid of their absorbent minds and a search for warmth and security. This security prompts them to explore their environment and begin to shape their identity. Beautiful, stimulating, clean and specially prepared environment are created to stimulate their very fertile minds. Caregivers and supportive adults who respect children as individuals communicate consistently with them with appropriate language to help in their language development. Engaging and constructive materials are at hand to assist the child and enrich their learning experience.

Learning at this age is essentially exploratory of all that they have absorbed at their early stage. At Topvine, children learn through play in a favorable loving and caring environment. Real objects and other enrichment materials are made readily available for them to see, touch, hear and manipulate to enhance learning through their senses.
This is a stage when children are at the peak of their sensitive period, a time when children tend to learn skills and concepts effortlessly with maximum concentration. Since this period is transitory we maximally utilize it for best output. Towards the end of this stage, learning is conscious and deliberate thus we refer to them as Amazing & Phenomenal Conscious learners.
This is the “second plane of development” that children occupy according to Maria Montessori. It is a period of rapid intellectual growth as they develop the ability for rational thinking. Children learn from “cosmic education,’’ which encourages them to explore their place within the world, as well as appreciate the interconnectedness of all things.
